From egosystem to ecosystem: why connecting beats standalone tools

From egosystem to ecosystem: why connecting beats standalone tools

During a video interview with CCO Pieter Beuker, one turn of phrase landed exactly where Pro4all stands: from egosystem to ecosystem.

A construction project never revolves around one process

"Our focus market never revolves around one process," Pieter explains. "You are dealing with documents, quality, safety, BIM models and communication, and they influence each other constantly." When that information sits apart, mistakes follow. Connecting the solutions to each other creates one source of truth. That makes collaboration simpler and delivers better projects in the end.

From egosystem to ecosystem

Here Pieter made an important distinction. "We live in a time where you cannot think only from your own solutions," he says. There are many good systems that customers have been using for years, with value and knowledge in them. That is exactly why Pro4all wants to move from an egosystem to an ecosystem: integrating other applications too, including ones that were never part of its own suite. That is when real added value for the customer appears.

One partner, multiple solutions

For construction companies that has a practical benefit. Instead of coordinating with all kinds of different vendors, you work with one partner: one customer success manager, one point of contact for support, across different solutions. That fits the Pro4all tagline exactly: building better together.

An ecosystem is not a marketing term then, but a choice to connect instead of isolate. In the next article of this series we will show how that choice takes concrete shape in the new Solution Clouds of Pro4all.
