Data security within Pro4all

A safe working environment does not stop at the construction site

Project information is valuable. Drawings, contracts, quality documentation and communication form the core of your organisation.

Concepts such as data breaches, ransomware and server failures are no longer exceptions. At the same time, local hardware problems and failing servers remain a risk for data loss.

Pro4all offers a controlled and secure environment for managing project and business-sensitive informati

Pro4all is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. This international standard sets strict requirements for:

  • Confidentiality
  • Integrity
  • Availability

Your data is protected against unauthorised access and cyber threats. Our security measures are continuously evaluated and improved to structurally manage new risks as well.

Security requires insight. At the Pro4all Trust Centre, you will find an up-to-date overview of our measures, statuses, and working methods regarding data security.

How Pro4all protects your data

Data security consists of multiple layers. Within Pro4all, these security mechanisms are structurally organised.

1. A backup in the cloud

By storing your files in our software, you have a backup in the cloud. What if your laptop breaks down, your iPad gets caught in the rain, or the local server crashes? Everything is safely stored with us, so you can access it again from another device.

2. Manage access and permissions at different levels

In our software, you decide who has access to which files and projects, and what rights they have. Should someone only be able to view the documents? Or edit them as well? You can decide this on a case-by-case basis. This ensures that files and data remain accessible only to the right people.

3. Files are protected by a firewall

It goes without saying that your files in our software are protected by a firewall. A firewall is a network security device. It monitors incoming and outgoing network traffic. It determines which traffic is allowed or blocked based on security rules.

4. Files are encrypted

The data within our software is stored in encrypted form. The data is also encrypted when files are shared.

5. Our servers are located in 3 locations

To spread the risk, we store your data not in one, not in two, but in three locations in Western Europe. In the unlikely event that two of the three servers encounter problems, you can still access your data from the third server.

This enables us to achieve data durability of 99.9999999999% (12 nines) over a year. This means that 99.9999999999% of your files are guaranteed to be preserved.

By using only Western European servers, you can also be sure that your data is stored in a GDPR-compliant manner.

6. The connection is secure

Pro4all uses a secure connection based on the TLS1.2 protocol and a key size of 4096 bits. These may be terms you have not heard before. It means that data is protected when it is distributed over the internet.

7. We are ISAE3402 certified

Pro4all is ISAE (International Standard on Assurance Engagements) 3402 Type I certified. This means that our information security policy complies with the requirements of this regulation and that processes are set up correctly.

8. We carry out periodic tests

To ensure that the security of our products is watertight, we conduct periodic penetration tests. This is done twice a year by three different, independent parties. These parties attempt to break into the software to test how secure we are. In other words, we try to hack the software ourselves, using independent and honest companies. This allows us to ensure that our software is watertight and your data remains secure.
